The DataGenic FTP server can be used for data retrieval allowing files in various formats to be downloaded quickly and easily. The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used to transfer files between two computers over a network and Internet

It works as follows: Scheduled data files are generated from DataGenic, the timing of which depends on the original market source, e.g. ICE, and any subsequent data corrections. The data file is placed on DataGenic's FTP server and the client is given a user name and password access. Clients have the ability to request from the FTP server at a scheduled or ad-hoc time frequency.
